Eric specializes in destination wedding photography, environmental Caribbean family portrait photography, and now, due to a major and what he refers to “the best thing ever” change in his personal life, infant and children’s portrait photography. Trained as a Visual Artist at the Univ. of Oregon in the late 80′s, Eric later became the Virgin Islands Daily News’ chief photographer for 5 years. With this combination of photojournalism experience and art photography training, he has created a unique style of “telling your story” through pictures while also creating art pieces that will stand the test of time.
His primary subjects have always been people but the arrival of his daughter was the epiphany that gave birth to his new motto “Life is Art”. Think about it. Whether it is window light falling on a pensive bride as she recalls the past and surveys the future, or the expressions of children building sand piles reminding us of our passed youth, art is all around us. Famous painters have turned fields of flowers into art. Eric’s art is in the beauty of the individual and their personal relationships.
